Due to the nature of the industry, buying livestock or plants is a buy at your own risk basis. We do NOT currently offer a death on arrival (DOA) refund nor exchanges for livestock or plants will be permitted

Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy for Fish Postage

In the unfortunate event that fish arrive dead on arrival (DOA), we offer live replacements only. Refunds will not be provided unless the same species is unavailable at the time of replacement. Please note that shipping costs will apply for the replacement shipment.

To qualify for our DOA policy, the following conditions must be met:

  • Fish must be received within one (1) hour of delivery.
  • DOA claims must be reported within one (1) hour of receiving the package.
  • A clear photograph of the deceased fish inside the original, unopened bag must be provided. If the bag has been opened or the fish removed, the DOA policy will be void.

DOA claims will not be honoured in cases of unreasonable circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters or mishandling after receipt.

Once the fish have been received in acceptable condition, Aussie Livebearers is no longer responsible for their well-being. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure proper acclimation, care, and husbandry to maintain the health of the fish.
